Kenya School Update

AMANI EDUCATION PROJECT
2009-2010 Graduation Day
Hi Friends,
We received new photos from the school in Kenya and wanted to share them with you. The foundation for their success was strong and we are proud to see the school and children growing steadily. It has been an exciting year for them with new additions and positive changes. The building financer from Holland has been generous enough to expand on the schools' success and funded three more classrooms a new office/watch tower and employed new teachers a cook and a grounds caretaker.

In November the school hosted it's first graduation ceremony for the children who passed their exams and moved up a level. They have worked hard for their success and we celebrate with them. We encourage you to send the school children a post card to acknowledge their hard work.

The address again is: Amani School PO Box 5618Diani Beach, Kenya Africa
To the Individual Child Sponsors: Take the time to reflect and appreciate how important your support for these children has been. They have been fed, protected and educated for an entire year with your $150 donation. It is time again to renew the sponsorships and we hope you can find a way to continue giving this gift of life, education and a promising future. Education is making a difference in this part of the world. Look for information coming soon to remind you how to donate to B&B Relief/Kenya Sponsorships

Child Sponsorship Renewal

Hello Sponsors,
Sorry, I'm a bit behind but trying to catch up fast. We have just arrived back in the states and having a bumpy landing. However, we're getting up to speed in this whirl-wind world.
Renewal for the sponsored children is now available. Yeah!
I can't say enough, how life-saving your support has been to these children. If ever possible, I encourage you to visit them and see what a difference you have made. These chosen ones, will now have opportunities in life, that otherwise were not possible. If you can mange to continue educating your child/children in Kenya, please act now.
New Sponsorhships are also available. Please contact us for more information.

$150 USD Donation per child will pay for the following:- One year of school fees
(which generally supports the main teaching staffs' salary)
- Current curriculum text books
(which the entire family and surrounding huts benefit from as well)- A book bag
(to organize and carry their things for the bumpy trail to/from school)- A new school uniform
(think how fast kids grow and these are their only new clothes every year)- A pair of shoes and socks
(To keep the bugs out of their toes and protect from the sharp coral ground)- Government Testing & Filing
(So that their education is documented and acknowledged formally)- Lunch 5 days a week
(For many, this is their only meal of the day)
If for some unfortunate reason, you are not able to renew your child's education, consider asking someone who might want to take over your child's sponsorship. Perhaps you could pool together as a sponsoring family, gift your sponsorship to another or ask a friend or relative who would like to take part in saving a child in Africa. Please take serious consideration to the sacrifice you will make and the value it has in comparison.

You can continue your sponsorship by sending/making your contribution to:
1.) B&B Relief Bank Account here in America
(Brian and Brenda will pay for the transfer to Kenya) or2.) Amani Education Bank Account in Kenya
(You will need to pay the inter-wire-transfer yourself)
*Please contact Brenda if you would like to sponsor a child
